 After foam casting a scale model for reference, I used wire representing pencil rod to make segmented parts. I used an overhead projector to display the wire to scale on a flat. I used luan sheets to trace the enlarged section, attached jig blocks, and bended the pencil rod to the shape. Once all pieces were formed, I welded together the skeleton of the car. Team props later attached painted plastic strips for the shell of the car to match designs. The car was built to de-assemble into five segments in order to load into the theater through a standard door.
